QZYMODELS is pleased to showcase the 1:1500 Nantong urban planning competition model, developed in partnership with global design firm AECOM.

Project Overview  

This city-scale concept model adopts a minimalist grey base tone, with landmark buildings highlighted in white to form a sharp visual contrast. The model is built with acrylic and ABS as core materials, and the key buildings are fitted with 4000K LED warm-white lighting to bring the urban scene to life. The peripheral urban massing uses 3D printed blocks to maintain a neat, concise presentation. The whole project was finished within a tight 15-day production timeline.

Craftsmanship & Design Highlights

We use premium acrylic and ABS materials to restore urban layout, water systems, green corridors and building volumes accurately. The 4000K integrated LED lighting system delivers soft, natural illumination, showing the city’s spatial hierarchy under different viewing environments. Our team translated AECOM’s urban design vision into a physical, tangible miniature scene, highlighting the waterfront landscape, traffic network and landmark clusters of Nantong.
