1. Project Overview

QZYMODELS completed this sophisticated 1:150 cross-section mining & clean energy demonstration model for CCTEG (China Coal Technology & Engineering Group), headquartered in Beijing, China. The whole project was fully finished within 25 days.

This large-scale sand table model is built for exhibition, technical presentation and stakeholder communication. It visually presents the complete industrial chain of modern green mining, covering underground mining tunnels, multi-layer subsurface working sections, above-ground processing plants, power generation facilities, wind turbines, photovoltaic systems and ecological restoration landscape. By adopting a sectional cutaway design, visitors can clearly observe the underground mining workflow together with the surface energy production system in one single display.

2. Craftsmanship & Core Features

We integrated CNC machining, high-precision 3D printing and elaborate manual finishing for this model.

• Terrain & Landscape: Restored undulating landform, waterscape, vegetation and ecological greening, showing the ecological restoration concept of modern mines.
• Underground Cross-section: Multi-layer underground tunnel structure, mining equipment and drilling systems are reproduced in scale to visualize subsurface operations, solid waste backfill technology and CO₂ sequestration process.
• Above-ground Facilities: Faithfully reproduced power plants, cooling towers, silos, factory buildings, wind turbines and photovoltaic power stations. Built-in LED lighting highlights pipelines, equipment and technical labels to strengthen the demonstration effect.
• Complete display package: Delivered with custom sand table base, display cabinet and supporting display wall, ready for direct exhibition use.
