Project Overview
QZY Models completed this 1:6 scale wind turbine nacelle engineering model for an engineering firm from Denmark, tailored for global exhibition displays. The whole project was finished within a tight 10-day timeline.
This exhibit model is fully manufactured via advanced 3D printing technology. The nacelle housing, rotor hub, generator, control cabinets and all internal mechanical components are precisely printed to replicate complex internal structures. Compared with traditional CNC cutting and assembly methods, 3D printing enables us to restore intricate, irregular geometries inside the nacelle that are hard to realise with conventional production.
Every 3D-printed component goes through rigorous manual post-processing. Our skilled model makers conduct hand polishing and custom painting strictly following the client’s technical specifications. This hand-finishing process refines raw printed surfaces into flawless, high-end exhibition-grade finishes, highlighting our craftsmanship advantage.
Considering the large size and weight characteristics of this 1:6 scaled model, we specially adopt a steel support stand. The robust steel base delivers stable load-bearing performance, keeping the whole model upright and secure. This structural design aligns with the rigorous engineering standards of our industrial clients.
This model is purpose-built for repeated exhibition transportation. We supply a custom aluminium protective shipping case, which ensures safe transit across different exhibition venues. The client can conveniently transport, assemble and disassemble the model without concerns of component damage.
